Church Street West, met with a painful accident, in companv with another, member of tho \ stall, named Jickell, ho was engaged in transportins tho heavy iron girders for the Technical School from tho railway station yardß to the foundry-on one of tho Express Company s lorries, and, just as they out of tho station gates into Pitt Street, the horses bolted. Jickell jumped -clear of the lorry as it went, down the incline, and shouted to his mate to do likewise, but the latter, not doing so quickly enough,' landed on the ground with hia left leg.underneath 0110 of tho heavy girders. A bono m the leg was broken, and the foot lnjurea.;. Dr. Greig was called in, and ordered Mudiord s removal to the'hospital, where ho _is now progressing as well as can be expected.; '.''.'" HURT ON. He was riding a horse, and trying to cateh another • horse, when his mount swerved suddenly, with tho result that tho rider's leg was 'brought into violent contact with a gate post and, although he was not thrown, his leg was broken. i.'■ ■'■■ '.V.
