CHURCH MEETINGS.

ST. MARY'S. The annual report of the churchwardens and vestry of St. Mary's (Anglican) Church, liarori states that except in the two.items of subscriptions and donations there has been a gratifying advance in revenue from all sources. In general offertories the increase has been £24 10s. 5d., in special offertories', £21 16s. lid., pew rent £f 12s. 6d., rent of parochial hall £21 4s. 9d., and all other items show a slightly upward tendency. The, general revenue for the year has been. £415.145. 3d., which is the largest sum-yet received by the vestry in one year. The'balance due on March 31 for pew rents and' subscriptions amounted to £31 145., which is slightly in excess of the same items in- last year's statement. / These sums it is anticipated will come in' at an early date. The sum of £59 has been paid in reduction of the mortgage on; the vicarage, • and this account is in credit in the sum of £11.95. Id. A garden party -was held at the grounds of Mr. J. Jb\ Mills. It was much enjoyed, and resulted in an addition to the New Church Fund of £10. The annual flower show was held on January ; 27 and 28, and proved an even greater success than that of last year; thesum of £14 10s. being handed to the vestry as a donation for general purposes, and which was appropriated tothe New Church, fund. :

ST. THOMAS'S PARISH. The annual meeting of-parishioners residing in the'lsland Bay. portion of St. Thomas's parochial district was held on Tuesday evening in- St. Hilda's Clubroom, the vicar (the Bey. J.. Walker) presiding. The secretary read the report and: balance-sheet. These went to show that a very satisfactory financial year had been experienced, receipts from all sources reaching, a total of .£342, including a balance brought forward from last year of ,£43 16s. Id. The church debt has been reduced by .£l5O, leaving' only .£SO owing, towards which the treasurer has over .£29 in hand. General and special offertories amounted to. ,£6O lis. lid. and ,£l7'3s.4d. respectively. The report made thankful reference to the work done during the year by. the various officials connected with the church, and,expressed hopes.for further progress during tho ensuing year. The following were elected as a committee:—Messrs. Bickerstaff, Colley, Griffiths, Levy, M'Ewan, Murrell • and Bobbins, with Mr. B. Wood as secretary and Mr. T. Proctor as treasurer. Mr. Boocock was re-elected auditor.

PARAPARAUMU. " ;The annual general meeting.of the Paraparaumu Anglican Parochial District was held on Tuesday, in Mr. Wise's Hall. The Kev. J. Jidwin Jones, vicar, presided. During the meeting, the following were'elected oihcers for the ensuing year:—Mr. J. A. Austin, vicar's churchwarden; Mr. H. S. Hadlield, people's churchwarden; vestrymen, Messrs. T. Brown, H. T. Cooper, W. Cooper, S. Cornor, H. It. Klder, Leonard Howell, and G. S. Smith; auditor, Mr. A.: 6. Williams; synodsman (elected' for two .years), Mr. .Ernest Uadfield; hon. local secretary and treasurer, Mr. J. A. Austin. Jn conneption ; with the Bishop of Wellington's indisposition, a vote of sympathy was passed. Votes of thanks .were accorded to Mr. Hartman; for his services as auditor; to Mr. J. A. Austin for his arduous labours as secretary of the parish, and to Mr. Wise for the loan of his'hall' for the benefit' generally of the parish... ■'■•... .. ~.' .. '.' At the,conclusion of'the meeting the vicar asked all the, districts to continue in the same-spirit,of unity and brotherhood which had so - blessed the commencement of their career,: as -a:- parish. , Ho prayed,,that.
