The property, which is near the bridge, Kelburne, is improved, fenced, and planted with ornamental shrubs, and commands a beautiful view of the harbour. The firm will offer for sale at tho samo timo a lot of raluablo jewellery, watches, and electro, plate, also books and n lot of househdld furniture and clothing, tho personal effects of the :iato D, M, Martin. Winter will soon bo paying its worst attention to the poverty-stricken "and needy, sick of this city, and the nurses of St. John Ambulance Nursing Guild will'have to face the bleak and cheerless weather, and work bard to help tlio poor. Tho Wellington Professional Orchestra are assisting, by giving a concert in tho Town Hall on Sunday evening next, l{ay 2. Tho hall has been generously, given for tho occasion, nnd tho nurses will hold tho collection plates. It is to be hoped they will meet with a generous response, 1 and it is hoped that on this. occasion tho Town Hall will prove too' small.
