H; erpotipn pf municipal theatre, £25,000, carried by 764 votes to 203; borough park in Nfipierpouth, £5000, carried by 816 votes fto 147 i installing electrio trainways and ojeptrio lighting, £85,000, carried by 825 votes to 13.4 j now (ire Ration, £JOOO, carried by 746 votes to 208 j dra'ipago construction, £35,000,- carried by 882 votes':to 77,

Vigor 'Brown,:-M.i\), who originated tho borrowing policy, was received with enthusiasm by a large crowd of ratepayers. Mr. Brown thanked the ratepayers for tho manner in which they had supported his progressive policf, and said that ho hoped that they would yet make Napier the lpading town of the Dominion.
