'In his record ride from Cbristchurch to Dunedin, he reduced the previous record to Timaru (Humm's), by 44 minutes. 'To-day he reduced his. own by 21 minutes. The conditions generally were favourable, esoppt that Arnst had had a bad sea trip from 'Akaroa the night before.
