WINTER AND THE STOCK.
Sharp frosts are being experienced in the country districts (writes our travelling representative), and snow has fallen on, many of the mountain ranges. : The pastures, however; are in much better condition than they were at this time last year, and there'seems to be a general opinion among farmers that stock will winter well.
