" I Councillor'Agmen Smith asked a question as ' to why an advertisement had been published without the signature of the Town Clerk. Th'n Mayor r replied' that it had been tele-1 phoned, and t tho council was not paying for | Councillor Smith said that ho knew who'in-1 6erted if. ,It said that those councillors ivho were letiring ivould -addiess the meeting, but neither he nor Councillor Harris had been asked to address the 'meeting. .He said that Councillor,Hammond was the only one who wished "to speak, and he had inserted the advertisement. , Councillor Hammond rose and urged a point' of order. He alleged that Councillor Smith's statements wore nonsensical.
