The Constantinople correspondent of the "Daily Telegraph" states thai after the : Salonika troops ,had captured the, barracks in Pera, they converged on Yitdiz Palace, - where were the Sultan and his entourago. ' Two large barracks, with seventeen guns, immediately outside Yildiz, surrendered : on Sunday morning 'Negotiations proceeded until noon with the remaining 4000 of the garrison, when the Sultan urged them not-to resist; When the Salonika troops entered Yildiz, they found thousands of tho garrison soldiersrcommandeering boats and ferries to take them across tho Bosphorus to the Selimich barracks, at the Asiatic suburb of Scutari,: where the anti-Constitutional garrison wero threatening to bombard Pera. Patrolling torpedo boats; however, prevented many of the Yildiz garrison; from thus escaping. Many fugitives during the evening were found in cemeteries and houses, and were shot on showing the slightest resistance. . , ( The defenders of Scutari, numbering 4000, precipitately retreated on Sunday oven« ing, after the Salonika troops had ferried tho Yildiz guns across the Bosphorus, When he" was threatened on Saturday with bombardment, the Sultan forced Tew? fik Pasha (Grand Vizier) and Edhem Pasha (Minister for War), also the next Keirs to the'throne,. to remainat Yildiz as hostages.
