jer.yices ,at Roserieath- have.'been'. regularly maintninod, and the interest, taken - in. the church-room, if not as widely spread as could bo wished, _ is thorough." - v ;Tho interior has been beautified by the addition of the pulpit from St. Mark's and by new altar-cloths and hangings tastefully, worked. Mr. H. N. Morrison has proved liiniself a ,-most earnest worker, and is ably backed by moinbors of the committee. The duties of organist 'have been carried out loyally by Mosdames Brown and .Greenwood. Messrs: &. Bell and Corrick. The Sunday school,, under Mr. P. Lerwill, doc 3 excellent work. - jTho;two ladies' guilds (the Beo and St. Martha's Guild). continue their good '-work,, arid' this have helped' materially towards tho erection <6f tho infant room. . The young men's club is in a vigorous condition and maintains its membership. newly-formed girls' club has; been .useful in.providing- for the young womon of the parish a link with tho church; ; f ;.Tho. Stl Mark's .branch of'the,Ministering' Children's.' League succeeded '.''in raising, £42 for tho .Chinese Mission. . The Missionary' and ;Benovolent Society maintained its good work under: Mr. Chatwin, and the . lady collectors earned the gratitude of tho vestry..;. Tho'ves,try has taken over' the parish magazine, and a question, for. the.'incoming .vestry will be. whether they are 'justified' in; incurring .the. expense of. the', paper., /Thanks are.extended to Mr. A. PETER'S. - : The annual report of ■ the churchwardens and -vestry of St.: Peter's Anglican ; Church: . states ;rthat ; the' statement of ..accounts for .the;year ended March 31' shows a. credit-bal-ance .of £2 7s. sdi, .after providing for all liabilities.; "This,".-continues';the report/,('is satisfactory.; considerins' that' 'we commenced the year with a debit balance of £40 17s. Id. inour assets arid liabilities.''
