FLOODS IN THE WAIRARAPA
HUNDREDS OF ACRES INTOTDATED. The largo amount of rain-which has fallen, during the past twenty-four hours, has flooded all the rivers in the -Wairarapa and Bush districts. -At Nireaha, the Mangatainoka River has washed away a portion of tho road leading to Stirling. Portions of Kouini are, quite inundated, the waters in many instances Teaching noarly; to the. tops of the fences. ■■ Tho Ruaniahanga overflowed its banks near To Ore Ore, Masterton, whilp the Waiohine ran over [tho main road on, the Gartorton side. The greatest evidence of the flood is at Dalefield, where, through the obstruction at tho mouth of tho Maungatarora, at the Waiohine Junction, hundreds of acres of land are under water. Be far no loss of stock is reported.
