Tho High Court upheld Mr. Justico Higgins's arbitration award in connection with tho Broken Hill dispute. The. Proprietary Company appealed against tho award chiefly on tho ground that tho Oourt excoeded its jurisdiction. Tho Chief Justioe, .Sir Edmund Barton, in over-ruling tho objections, said that by tho judgment of tlio Court tho unions got all they came into Court to ask for and nothing moro.
