STAR BOATING CLUB.
About thirty members were present at a general meeting of the Star Boating Club, held last night. ,Mr. C. Pearce presided. It was decided to present the trophies won during the year at a smoke concert, to bo held Saturday evening, the date to be fixed, and arrangements made by tho club-houeo committee. Arrangements .for the holding of the annual ball were left in the hands of a committee consisting of the club captain (Mr. C. Pearce), (Mr. A.. H. Barnett), Messrs. Bendall, Menzies, Biss, Widdop, Pell Cnaffey, Broinii Barron, and Dudley. The boats to bo bought this season were fixed on as one best-and-best four-oared boat, two junior double-scullers, and one small pleasure boat.
