Parliament then prorogued, Tho dobates centred in tho agreement between tho Transvaal Government and the: Portuguese Administration of Mozambique, under which tho Portuguese Dolngoa Bay railway is ■ Guaranteed 50 per cent, of the Transvaal's overseas traffic. Tho speakoTS stated that the agreement was objectionablo, but was, an improvomont on tho present modus vivendi. It was pointed out that the agreement would bo.onforced whether Natal joined the Union or not.
