HOSPITAL TRUSTEES.
, The fortnightly meeting of tho Hospital Trustees was held yesterday, there being present: The Hon. C." M. Luko (in tho chair) and 'Messrs. Agmen Smith; J. W. M'Ewan, G. Nash, G. London, AY; H. Hales, and R. C. Kirk; ;.The amount received from out-patients for the .fortnight was .£lO Is., as compared ivitli .£1? 75.-for the previous fortnight, and ,£ls 7s. for 'the corresponding period of 190 S. Tho .sum received from in-patients was JE9S ss. Bd., as compared with. J8126 2s. 7d.'for tho'previous fortnight, and ,£lls 12s. Bd. for the corresponding • period, of Idst year. ... In reply to- a letter from tlio FriendlySocieties' Council, it was decided to 'advise'tho' council that no special terms were offered to members of. friendly societies while ill the hospital; but the trustees were willing to confer with the council on tlio subject. . The return of patients for the fortnight'-was as follows:—General Hospital—Males, 98 females, 71; total, 179; total for the corresponding period of 1908, 202; Victoria Hospital, IS and 17; Seddon Hospital, 13 and 5; grand total,' 232, as against 262 last year.. • The House Committeo recommended- that Probationer Wootfon's resignation be accepted; also that a ,two-story building be built on the site of'tho present carpenter's shop. . Tho report was adopted. - The Finance Committee reported that accounts for, tlio supplies for the month of March amounted to ,£BIB 17s. lOd. This amount was smaller than the usual, monthly account, the total for tlio previous month being • J!9U 14s. ;. The t report was adopted.
