. A monthly meeting of tho General Committeo of-,tho Ma'sterton A. and P. Association was held on Saturday last. . ' Tho Finance Committee reported a debit balanco of £4656 10s. 4d. Tho committee rocommo|ided tho general committee to adopt cho year's estimates, drawl up by a special sub-committeo. Mr. H. Gillies; of Palmerston North, judge 1 of . tho fat eattlo section, at tho last show, returned as a donation to tho association his; cheque for £1 10s, for expenses, and specially mentioned tho good work.of Mr. I'ilmer, marshal steward of tho tat eattlo classes. It i was decided to thank •Mr. Gillies very heartily for his donation. • A communication tfas read from tho New 'Zoaland Jersey Cattlo Breeders'.Association asking tho co-opcration of _tho Association in. selecting judges for tho dairy classes from an.' approved list drawn up by tho council of tho association. On tho motion of tho chair-' man, it was resolved to'reply that if a suit-; able judge could bo obtained from .tho list submitted tho Mastcrton'-Association would be pleased to appoint such judge. : ; v Tho Manawatu A; and P.' Association'wrote stating, that a conference of A. and P. Association.delegates would be* held in Palmorston North on Juhe 24, .and 'requesting that tho Mastertou Association should send' two delegates and submit subjects for'discussion.' Tho chairman and Mr. • \V. Perry wero unanimously appointed delegates, ■ and wero. asked to submit 1 suitable matters for- tho agenda paper. ■ • ■' v ■ : .y.' . Messrs, D.
