.On Sabrday the Wellington Harriers held their opening run from Cliff House, Island Bay. Mr. Bonnott, the oliib's president, declared the season opened, and in- a short address expressed a wish that it would b« a. I succtssful and enjoyable one. . - ,■■ . • . ■•■•:■.-; ;On account of tho number of' new members' who turned out, tho trial, whioh was laid br C. Latriberg and ;E.' Meyrick, was a v«ry. short one. It extended to Happy Valley and back to Island Bay. Tho "run in , .' was won by H. J. Pollock, with P. Harvey second, and P .Wilton third. . . ■'' After:the.ran,.a special general meeting , was hold, at whion-an-alteration was made to bno of the club rules. 'The run next Saturday will take placo fromKarori.
