PEOVINCIAL CHAMPIONSHIPS. The following are the results of games in the Wellington Provincial Championship series, played on Saturday:— Senior—Men's Doubles. 3?inal (best of five sets): H. Rico and H. W. Brown v. E. N, K. Swanston and J. C. Peacock, G-4, G-l, 6-2. v Junior—Men's Singles. Third round: W, Sheppard v. F. A. Lewis, fi-3, 6—l. Semi-final: T. H. Jones v. A. G. Duncan. 6—o, 6—2. In accordance with-the decision arrived at in settlement,of the difficulty which arose over this event, Jones nowfmeets Sheppard, and the winner is to play off with J. L. Blundell, of the Tararua Club, Carterton. Junior—Men's Doubles. Semi-final: S. J. Sampson and T. E. Herd ■v; P. J. Cornell and.H. Parkinson, 7—5, 7—9 8-6/ Final: T. L. Ward and W. Sheppard v. S. J. Sampson and T. E. Herd, 6-1, 6-3. Combined Doubles. First round: Howe and Miss Farmer v. Sampson and Miss Crombio, 9—3. Second round: Mills, and Miss Turton v. Blundell and Mrs. Hawkins, by default; Sheppard and Miss Dimant v. Howe and" Miss Farmer, Stevens and Miss Wilson , v. Cornell and Miss Penny, 9—6. Third round: Clarke, and Miss Howard v. Mills and Miss Turton, 9—5; Sheppard and Miss Dim ant v. Lewis and Miss Clark, 9^-7. Semi-final: Sheppard and Miss Dimant v. Clarke, and Miss Howard, 9—o. The tournament will reach finality noit Sat.nrday/ The following aro tho remaining matches:—Junior Championship: Men's singles—Jones v. Shoppard. Combined doubles —Second round: Stovens and Miss Wilson v. Herd and Miss Rothschild; Tread well and Miss Ross v. A. G. Henderson and Miss Smythe. Semi-final: Winners of above. Final: Ultimate winner of semi-final v. Sheppard and Miss Dimant.
