The Eifle Volunteers held a parade on Friday evening, Captain Skey boing in command. Five recruits were sworn in. It is the intention of the company to hold a parade on Saturday evening nest. 'A football : match was played on Saturday, afternoon between the local High School and Clarevillo Maori College. The game ended in a draw, each side scoring three points. Mr. A. .N. Burns was referee. A valuable horse, belonging to Mr. J. W. Compton, of Clareville, dropped dead at Taratahi on Friday evening, when being driven home.
