I A man named Henry Horatio Marsh pleaded guilty to a charge of: having been drunk ■whilst' , in charge of a horse and cart inJervois Quay. Accused explained that he had met an old schoolmate he had not seen for years, and celebrated r the reunion ■ unwisely. It appeared that Marsh was driving two,. horses. and fell between the : horses, which bolted.., A conviction' and fine iof 205.,' in default,seven days' imprisonment, were entered.. ■' ~ CHARGES OF- THEFT. Chas. Norton Bassenden and Ohas. Hanson : were each charged- with having'. on April 3 stolen a quantity of zinc,; value 35., the pro-' perty, of ■ Wm. Hildreth. Hanson pleaded guilty and Bassenden riot' '.guilty. • Accused Hanson ,alsq. pleaded guilty to a charge of theft of a bag'of cloth- clippings, valued at 155., thpprpperty of; Win. Hildreth.- . Bassenden was remanded to April 19, and Hanson was remanded for'-sentence to.the same date. Bail was allowed in the sum of £5-in the first case.
