'8 At Lincoln Agricultural College in the seaSi son /just closed several' varieties. of wheat >t were tested, with a view to ascertaining their .6 habits of growth, their times of ripening, their e yields, etc. The yields recorded - were the k following:—De Noe, 62 bushels per acre; [- Odessa, 62 bushels; Bordier (721b; seed per h acre),,6o bushels; Bordier (1121b;.seed), 59 s- bushels;- Hunter's, 59 Pearl, 59: if bushels; Red King, 55 bushels; Webb's !ch'alo le °i e i-.65 bushels; Tuscan, 45 bushels. ' 2 .'"The", yield of' the whole'paddock was' 60 J t bushels per acre.'- In reference to. the Tus--5 can, it must. be stated that this variety, e which is-i.spring wheat,;was sown in May, e and developed so quickly, that it had ito "be t fenced off and-fed down closely.
