It is thought improbable that the congress will favour & gonoral call-out. (Rcc. April 16, 11.40 p.m.) Sydney, April 15. Tho Labour Congress passed a resolution against the proposal for a goneial strike. Mr. Bowling (tho Notfcnstlc delegate who recently spoko of tho power to paralyse industry as being Labour's weapon pf last ro Aort), accused certain members Of tho con-> gross of rownldice, and declared they were totally, deficient in the- spirit Df light possessed by the Newcastle miners. BRITISH LABOUR PARTY DIVIDED, AND MAINLY SOCIALISTIC. London, April -14. Tho United Kingdom Postal Clerks' Conference, now sitting at Nottingham, by a large hiajority, declined to affiliate with the Labour party. Tho reasons given for tho refusal wero that tho LaboUr party was in itself divided and was mainly Socialistic.
