FANCY BUTTONS.
Buttons play a very important part in the fashions of'the day, and a distinct note o! individuality is given tio tho costume by tho tone and sbapo of the buttons which adorn it. Perhaps the most to be desired amongst these ornaments are tho handpainted ones for tho owner of a set of theso knows that hers are unique, and therefore most valuable A Sydney girl who has for some time del lighted her friends' hearts with rifts of hand-painted cups and vases has turned her attention to buttons, and has .produced some charming sets, ono with soft nink roses on a croamy ground being especially lovely. But this girl was far-seeing, and ordered her buttons from London, and now her only trouble is to supply orders, so much is her work admired.
