Other American lines arc included in her freight* list. THE WALKUItE. Word has been received that tbo e.s. Walkuro is now loading a full cargo of caso oil at New York for New Zealand ports. She is probably coming consigned to the Vacuum Oil Company. AEAWA DUE MONDAY. According to cabled advice received, the ShawSavill liner Arawa, en route from London, via Capo Town and Hobart, arrived at the latter port at 10 a.m. yesterday. The vessel is a day ahead of her scheduled time, and should reach port next Monday. The list of her passengers was published yesterday. 3 ' MATATtJA LEFT LONDON. Q Advice has been received by the local agents that the Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company s Matatua sailed from London for New Zealand ports on April 10. Tho vessel will make Auckland her first port of call, and she is due i» there about May 25. ANOTHER SAILER FOR WELLINGTON. I, Messrs. Johnston and Co. advise that the Gracie : Line have chartered the barque Clara to i, load, at Liverpool for New Zealand ports. She L " expected to leave Liverpool on May 12, for •, Wellington and Dunedin, making Wellington the :, first port of call. CLAN OGILVY AT TIMARTJ. Yesterday morning the Scales chartered i, steamer Clan Ogilvy, from Edithburg, arrived at limaru. The vessel brought a quantity of salt, i and on completing discharge will proceed to Lyttelton from Tiinaru. She afterwards comes on to Wellington, and will collect general cargo at various ports. It is hoped to dispatch her for London at the end of the present month. WIRELESS AT STRAITS OF MAGELLAN. The Chilean Government is about to establish a wireless station on the Straits of Magellan. This is the first attempt at establishing a Btation so far south, and is expected to be of great advantage to commcrce. It will put vessels in direct communication with any port in tho western hemisphere. WARRIMOO FROM SYDNEY. After an uneventful voyage from Sydney, the Union- Company's steamer Warrimoo arrived in the stream about 1 o'clock yesterday afternoon. Included in tho imports brought by the vessel are the following items:—2s bars steel, 332 bags flour, 96 sacks meal, 30 drums carbide, 250 cases soap, 46 ingots tin, 93 ingots zinc, transhipments r ex Nikka Maru, Itonus, Omrah, ltinda, Wodonga, Pregerui, Innamincka, and ICO rolls wire netting, f 746 cases fruit, and a large quantity of general cargo. This afternoon the Warrimoo leaves for Mei- ' bourne, via southern ports and Ilobart. , STRENUOUS VOYAGE OF THE BRITISH STEAMER WYNERIC. The British steamor Wyneric, which arrived at Dublin, February 1„ from this port with a cargo of £.rain, is reported as having had a voyage during which, for a week, the crew expected deaths hourly. The steamer presented an extraordinary appearance, all the available wood haviug been burnt to keep the engines going. The deck cabin and forecastle fittings and.furniture portion of the cargo derricks, ladders, partitions, and bunks were all gone, having been utilised as fuel, and only the 6teel uprights which support the deck remain. The Wyneric, which was built on the Clyde in |1894, and is 396!t. long, left San Francisco on October 27 for Dublin, and encountered terrific weather, duriug which the supply of coal ran out, and the captain decided to run for St. Vincent. On tho voyage overy available picce of wood in the ship, a quantity of oil and ship's stores and 30 tons of cargo had to be burned to keep the engines working, and when Cape Verde was sighted, there were only one day's provisions on board. Annual overhaul and survey have just been completed by the Straits trader Blenheim. She . comes off the slip to-day. Last night tho Shaw-Savill cargo steamer Tokomaru was to leave Gisborne for Wellington, and should accordingly reach hero to-morrow.
