Two battalions of troops surrounded tho Parliament Building and demanded tho dismissal of tho Grand Vizier, tho President of tho Chamber, and tho Minister for War. Tho situation is grave. The immediate cause of tho panic is not disclosed. Tho insurgent troops were quartered at tho Ministry of AVar. At dawn they marched to tho Mosque of Saint Sophia, and thence to Parliament Building. Serious disturbances followed. Panic prevails in tho city, and the shops are closed. A private message received in London states that there are no officers with the insurgents. OSTENSIBLE CAUSES. Tho immediate cause of the revolution was an order given to the troops that, in any circumstances, the/ should, if called on, firo on their co-religionists. The officers also attempted to abolish tho practice of including tho Sultan's naino in the daily prayer, Tho soldiery murdered a deputy, Emir Arslan, who closely resembled Hussein Djahid, editor of tho Young Turkish newspaper. The Grand Vizier (Hilmi Pasha), the members of his Cabinet, and the President of the Chamber of Deputies have resigned. Tho Sultan has accepted their resignations. COMMITTEE OF UNION FALLS. AN ISLAMIC SUCCESSOR. LEAGUE OF MAHOMET, BACKED BY FIRST ARMY CORPS. London, April 14. Tho Constantinople correspondent of "Tho Times," telegraphing at a lato hour, stated that tho Committee of Union and Progress has fallen. The Jomiet-i-Mahomedieh, or League of Mahomet, is now master of the situation. Tho League is backed by the rink and file of tho First Army Corps, and by a largo majority of tho Moslems. Tho soldiery wounded tho Minister for Marino (Riza Pasha), and killed tho Minister for Justice' (Hassan Fehmi' Pasha). The leaders of tho Committee of Union and Progress are in hiding. It is rumoured that tho soldiers who gathered round Parliament Building have ac-' claimed Towfik Pasha as Grand Vizier or Premier, and Edhem Pasha as Minister for War. It is added that these appointments represented the wish of the Sultan.
