The Rev. T. It. Richards, who is removing to the Blenheim circuit, was entertained last week at a social gathering held in the Methodist Church, Heathcoto (C'hristchurch). Mr. James Weir presided, and various speakers spoke in the highest' praise of the excellent work accomplished by Air. and Mrs. llichards during the five years in the circuit. On behalf of the congregation, Mr. Weir presented Mr. Richards with a beautiful travelling; clock. Mrs. Weir, on behalf of the Ladies' Guild, presented Mrs. Richards with a hot-water kettlo and a pair of silver candlesticks. Tho recipients suitably responded. On tho following evening a number ef residents of Woolston waited 011 Mr. Richards and handed him a beautiful goldmounted day clock in a glass case. The deputation, on behalf of the Woolston residents, expressed tile esteem in which the recipient was held, and wished Mr. and Mrs. Richards ovory prosperity in their now suliere,
