RECEPTION L\ T LONDON. The New Zoaland Association gave a re* ception at the' Westminster Palace Hotel, Loitdon, to welcome tho now High Commissioner for New Zealand and Mrs. HallJones. There I 'was a large attendance of Now Zoalandersl and tho lion. W. P. Reeves, tho late High Commissioner, in a brief speech welcomed Mr. Hall-Jones on _ behalf of the association,' remarking that in him tho Government of Now Zealand had a very ablo and experienced official, who had been tried and not found wanting during many years of scrvicoi .','fho Hon. W. Hall-Jones, in reply, said ho thought tlioy could certainly look forward to a continuance of tho progress, development, and improvement of their beloved country, and ho asked them all, as opportunity arose, to assist him in his efforts, and to do ! their best on behalf of Now Zealand. He thanked tho association for their warm welcome A musical programme was given by Mr. and Mrs. J. K. Campbell, Mrs. J. A. Mason, Miss Dall, and Mr. Barry Coney, and. refreshments were afterwards handed round. Amongst iho New Zealandors present wcro Sir Guy Keatherston, Mr. Waltor Kennaway, C.M.G., Dr. T. W.
