Highet) had the best of matters on the lead to Halswell by li minutes. Here both yachts hoisted spinnakers for tho run to Korokoro, where tho Taiparo rounded the buoy 4,} minutes ahead. On tho beat back to Halswell, tho Lizzie, with Bailey at the helm, gradually closed up, on the third board crossed tho bows of the Taipare, and rounded Halswell buoy a minute ahead. Off tho wind to the Queen's AVharf tho Lizzie maintained this advantage, winning a good race by one minute.
