On Saturday night, during a trip of n motor launch from Kawati to Coroninndel with a party of four, the benzine ignited, and two men, named Taylor and Shaw, were enveloped in flames. Taylor jumped overboard and Shaw was thrown overboard; both were soon picked up. Shaw was seriously burned about the'hands and arms, and Taylor was slightly injured. The engine broke down, ami the. party drifted about all night. Next morning the engine, was got going, but when off Tamaki Heads it broke down 'again. A fairly heavy wind was blowing, and the launch was washed ashore. The party walked to Onchunga, where the injured men were attended to by Dr. Tressider. THROWN FROM A TRAP.
