His Excellency, who is a stalker of experience, secured a""royal'," 13-point, and.H-point heads, all nicely symmetrical, the 14-pointer in particular being a beauty. On Tuesday next His Excellency will lay the foundation stone of tho new Collegiate School, and tho.following day will leave for Auckland in pursuanco of his intention to cruise round the northern coast. Ho will journey from Auckland northwards via ' tho Coast, and co"me south via Hokianga, Kaipara, and Onehunga. It will bo remembered that the Governor madp an attempt to visit Kawhia last year, but was baulked, owinj to the density of the smoke from tho bush-fires obscuring the entrance. It is his intention to persevere on this occasion, as lie is anxious to gain an acquaintance with the scenic beauty of ono of the finest and least appreciated harbours in New Zealand.
