The Australian Minister of Defenco estimates that tho preparatory cost of tho new military defence scheme will bo £530,000; tho cost for tho first year £1,200,000; for tho second year £1,248,000; for tho third year £1,301,000; and for the fourth year £1,325-, 000. Tho naval scheme cost for tho first year £817,000; for the second year £1,092,000; for the third year £72,000.
