Tho frequency of German balloons crossing the frontier led Franco to levy high duties on airships. i Four navigable balloons alighted on French territory yesterday. As tho occupants had insufficient funds to pay tho duty demanded, tho balloons were confiscated. Another balloon dropped near Antwerp citadel, in Belgium. After at first denying, the aeronauts confessed that they were Gorman officers. AEROPLANE FOR AUSTRALIA. New York, April 7. Messrs. J. and N. Tait, the well known theatrical managers, have acquired the Australian rights in Wilbur Wright's aeroplane now practising at Pau, in the south of France. Messrs. Tait will sail in May. Exhibitions -will be given in Melbourne and Sydney.
