TARANAKI ST. METHODIST CHURCH

The quarterly meeting of the Board of Management of the Taranaki Street Methodist Church took place last evening, the Rev. S. J. Serpell presiding. There was a good attendance of members, including the Rev. E. J. Clark, of Karori. The financial retunie for the quarter were quite up to the average, and interesting reports were presented of the continued success of efforts in connection with the working of the Sunday school. A deputation from the Christian Endeavour Society waited upon the board, urging their claim for greater sympathy from the church, and recognition of their efforts in trying to reach those outside church influences. A profitable discussidn ensued, which it is believed will produce good , results in the future. Reports of the Tory Street, and Aro Street Missions were presented, and gratification expressed at the work which Sisters Isabel and il»y are dwnjf in their respective localitiee.
