According to tho Kharbin (Manchuria) newspaper "Vestnik," Russians are surprised at the rapid spread of the movement among old-timo Siberian peasant families in favour of emigration to Australia on a large scale. ' . Many encouraging letters have been received from their precursors in Australia. [It was cabled from London on March 19 — A large number of agricultural peasants 'id bouth-iastern Russia have formed a party and are applying for assistance towards Hio ?^i men -ro tb ?n' to New South Wales. They will go out conditionally on the New South Wales Government finding them employment at farming.]
