The local agents of the Sliaw, Savill, and Albion Company liavo received cabled intimation that tho Bteamcr Karamca, which left Wellington on February 6, arrived in London on Tuesday evening, March 30. THE MASHONA. Advice received by the local agents states that the A. and A. Lino steamer Mashona, from New York, via Australia and Auckland, left tho latter port yesterday for Wellington. She has on board about IOGO tons of cargo for Wellington, and is due to-morrow night, WAIHI RESUMES RUNNING. Messrs. W. and G. Turnbull and Co. notify, by advertisement, that the Waihi re-enters, tho Wellington-Blenheim trade today. She leaves at 8 o'clock to-night, and will be under the command of Captain Carey. MAORILAND CO.'S STEAMERS. Laden with a cargo of timber shipped at Hobart, .the Maoriland Company's steamer Lauderdalo arrived in Dunedin yesterday morning. On completing discharge sho proceeds to Auckland, via Timaru and East Coast ports. She is expected to leave Dunedin to-day. It is anticipated that tho Ennerdale will leave Greymouth to-day, with a cargo of timber for Sydney. PASSENGERS "FROM LONDON. RUAPEHU, DUE TUESDAY. At 9 o'clock yesterday morning, tho New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Ruapehu, from London, via Cape Toivn, arrived in Hobart. Sho is due in Wellington next Tuesday. Tho Otaki, which left Auckland on March 6 for London, resumed her voyage from Monte Video on Tuesday. Later advices received announce that the Turakina, .which left Wellington on March 11, foy London, arrived at Monte Video on Wednesday, l March 31. Bad weather has delayed the loading operations of the Now Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Buteshire, at Waitara, and she is not expected to arrive in port till next Tuesday. TYSER LINE STEAMERS. Cabled advice has been received that tho Tyser Company's steamer Indraghiri left London on Tuesday, March 30, for Australian and New Zealand ports. Sho is due in Auckland about April 10, and at Wellington a week later." Early yesterday morning, the two Tyser steamers, Whakarua and lndralema, from New York and London, via Australian ports respectively, arrived in Auckland. The lndralema has about 1000 tons of cargo for Wellington, and is due on Gpod Friday. The Whakarua, with 2500 tons of cargo, principally kerosene, is due next Thursday. The Hawke's Bay left this port for Lyttelton and Dunedin yesterday afternoon, in continuance of her discharging operations. Captain J. G. Watson has succeeded Captain Tate as master of the Pukaki. Captain Tate assumes command of the barque Weathersficld. The Union Company's steamer Mapourika arrived in Greymouth at 10.30 a.m. yesterday, and was timed to sail at 9.30 p.m. on the return to Wellington, via ports. An exchange reports that Captain R. H. Gibbons, of the Northern Steam Ship Company's service, has been appointed harbourmaster and pilot at Manukau in succession to Captain J. Ncale, who retired yesterday on superannuation. Thoro were over 60 applicants. Captain Gibbons was born at Onehunga. For several years he was on the Mclancsian Mission steamer Southern Cross, but for the past 18 years he has been in the Northern Company's service. The position of harbourmaster and pilot at Hokianga, vacant by tho retirement on superannuation of Mr. Martin, is to be filled by Captain F. Hardy, formerly chief officer of the ninemoa.now master of t,fto Otago Harbour Board's dredge at Port Chalmers.
