In the presence of. 150 guests, including Lord Ranfurly, Lord Strathcona, Sir Reginald Talbot, Mr. . Hall-Jones, tho AgentsGenoral, and leading merchants, shipowners, bankers, and financiers, Lord Crewo (Secretary for the Colonies) opened the new offices, in London, erected for the representation ot the Stato of Victoria. Lord Crewe expressed a hope that the Commonwealth and the other States, -would build on adjoining sites. Ho especially referred to tho good management of tho Victorian railways, and complimented Victoria oil its great prosperity. IMPERIAL ARCHITECTURE. London, March 31. •The "Daily Telegraph," in a two' column leading article dealing with the opening of the Victorian Agency-General" offices, suggests that the Imperial ideal is at Jpst finding expression in London architecture. The Commonwealth, Now Zealand, and South 'Africi must follow with edifices, which aro as expressive of the greatest factor in modern political life as cathedrals in medieval times. ' .
