SWIMMING.
The Thorndon Club wound up its swimming programme last night, with a 50yds. consolation handicap. Although the elements were most adverse, the water being extremely cold, .there were a good number of starters. The race resulted as follows:—W. Allan, Gsec., 1; ,K. Wiggins, 21sec.; 2; D. M'Leod, 2!sec., 3. Time, 35 3-ssec. The following also competed: J. 1 Ilanan, 9sec.; J. Donovan, Bsec.; If. Kennedy! Bsec.; A. W. Smith, Gtec.; T. H. M'Lean, ssec.; J. Wareham, 4sec.; Frank lloberts, scratch.
