SWIMMING.
A meeting.of the Wellington Centre of the New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association was held in the Y.M.C.A. Booms yesterday evening, ■ Mr. L. W. Ludwig presiding. The treasurer reported that tho.loss on the centra's carnival was over .£7. An invitation from tho Ponsonby Club, Auckland, toB. C. Freyberg to visit Auckland for the club's carnival was considered. It was decided to ask the NewZealand Association's permission for the Wellington swimmer to make tho trip. Votes of thanks were passed to the Timaru Rowing and football clubs for their courtesy in entertaining tho Wellington swimmers who attended the New Zealand championship meeting at Timaru recently.
