Professor David, speaking at an cnthusiaatie gathering at the Univers.'ty, paid a high tribute to Lieut. Shackloton and to Captain Evans. Ho especially praised tho latter's fine soamanship, stating that, after Providence, they all owed their lives very largely to tho captain of tho Nimrod.
