There mbi fair attendance of members. The committee, ill its annual report, complained of tlio lack of support given by members to the interests of the association, <md appealed for an improve, ment in that direction. Tlio "Hunt" Cup presented for card tournament competitions between tlio Petono and Wellington Associations was won by Petone. In the faco of a shortage of two men, tho association again won tlio "Hunt" Cup for shooting, in a match between tho Wellington Navals and the cx-members. A triangular match was also fired, tho participants being tho company, the ex-Navals, and the Upper Hutt Rifle Club. Victory went to (ho Upper Hutt men. The opening ot the boating season was signalised by the annual cutter rnco between the company and the ex-members, tlio event being won by the present corps; who were awarded tho "Mcnzies" Cup. Tho "White" Horse" Cup raco between tho l'etono and Wellington Associations' cutter crews was', after being twice postponed, won by Petone. With the idea of creating a healthy stimulus and friendly rivalry :n sports amongst tho gunsquads of the company, tho association presented for competition during the coming year a handsome shield. The committee also had under consideration the formation of a reserve corps, under the regulations recently promulgated by tho Council of Defence. Tho iinaucea showed n surplus of .£7 ss. Ikl.
