HELENSVILLE HOT SPRINGS.
(BY TEIEGRAPH—SPECIAL CORRBSFONDIKT.) Auckland, March 30. A splendid flow of water has just been obtained at the Heiensville hot springs. For Borne time tho board have been putting down bores without meeting with success, but on Thursday last some of the members met and decided, on the suggestion of Mr. Jas. M'Lcod, the chairman, to put a boro down the old well, and after going down 60 feet a tremendous flow of water was obtained, sufficient at least to fill a 3-inch pipe. Tho heat of the water in tho well is 150 degrees Fahrenheit. This is a splendid discovery, as tho board had built a Bwimming bath 45ft.by 35ft., capablo of holding 27,000 gallons of water. This is easily filled from the present supply in less than 24 hours. Tho heat of the water'in the bath is 100 degrees Fahrenheit. The success of these baths seems now to bo assured beyond doubt. To many they will provo a great boon, being of easy accoss. During the coming Easter holidays, owing to tho cheap fares and short distanco, thcro will doubtless be a great number of visitors to Heiensville. Experts say that tho I water is quite equal to any at Kotorua and Tc Aroha.
