All the members of tho Executive ore in Wellington, with tho exception of the Hon. A. T. Ngata, who is travelling witii tho Governor. Air. J. A. Ilott, loft on a trip to Australia by tho Mahcno yesterday. Mr. A. Hamilton, Director of tho Dominion. Museum, has left on a visit to Napier. Ho is expected back on Monday night. Major G. M. Johnston, formerly Director of New Zealand Artillery Services, is at present in command of tho 39th Company of ltoyal Garrison Artillory, Plymouth. Mr. Geoffrey Nyo, of West's Pictures, arrived in Wellington yesterday to make arrangements for their Easter season in tho Town Hall. Mr. Cantor, of Leako and Cantor, solicitors, Perth W.A., and brother of Mrs. P. Myers, of this city, who is making a tour of the Dominion, is at present in Wellington. Among tho passongers by tho Mararoa, ■which left Lyttelton for Wellington last night, aro Sir Georgo Clifford, tho Hon. T. Fergus, Mr. Justice Denniston, and Canon Mac Murray, of Auckland. A cablegram has boon received in Wellington stating that Mr. Roy M. Muir, son of Mr, Jas. Muir, of Woolcombo Street, who left for England in January last, has passed his first medical examination. Tho Hon. Mr. and Mrs. T. K. Maodonald loft for Sydney by tho Maheno yesterday evening. Mr. Macdonald was entertained by tho moinbers of tho Central Club on Thursday night. Mr. W. T. Hamblym, of Christeburch, who has been offered the position of instructor for tho proposed wool classes at tho Masterton Technical School, has notified tho managers that ho will bo unablo to givo a definite answer to tho offer until tho ond of tho present month. During tho sitting in Chambers yesterday Mr. Justico Cooper admitted to practice as solicitors of tho Supremo Court Herbert Gideon Floteher, of Palmerston North, Fled. Win. John Oaldoy, of Palmorston North, Geo. P. Finlay, of To Kuiti, and Austin Bowlcy, of Masterton. Upon admitting them, his Honour observed: "I hope that they all will find plenty-of satisfactory work." Tho Hon. A, W. Hogg, Minister fo\ Roads and Bridges, is about to mako another tour ill the back-blocks. Ho goes to Masterton this afternoon for tho wook-end, and will proceed to Pahiatua and Makun on Monday. Pongaroa will bo reached on. Tuesday night, but during that day tho Minister hopes to go carefully over as many of the roads in ' Pongaroa and Akitio counties as timo permits, with tho intention of sooing what can best bo done to overcome tho difficulties caused by lack of motal. On Wednesday, Mr. Hogg will go to Weber, and thence to Dannevirko'. Ho will then take train by tho Main Trunk to To Awamutu, and go by coach to Pirongk and Kawhia. Turning back inland, ho will visit Otorohanga, To Kuiti, Aria, and Mokau Heads, and will go by sea to Waitara, and return to Wellington by train. Ho expects to bo away about a fortnight. Later on the Minister will visit tho North Auckland district, and return by the Thames and Tauranga.
