MR. BOLTON AND THE MAYORALTY.
Sir, —Mr. Bolton seems to be playing a game of pick and choose about the Mayoralties of Wellington and Eastbourne. In the former, city moil are getting signatures to a petition asking him to stand for that city. _ If ho finds it inadvisable to stand for the city, no doubt lie will bo asked to stand for called "Eastbourne." Last he said if he was returned without opposition lie would not- come forward again, and probably ho intends to respect his word. It cannot be too strongly impressed on the ratepayers that we'must navc t for Mayor someone who resides in the district, and who knows the requirements of the people. All last winter, while the Mayor was comfortably toasting bis feet before the firo, the unfortunate residents had to walk from Day's Bay in the cold and wet without even a light in the streets of Muddeborough. "ho ratepayers of Eastbourne desiro a change. Let Mr. Bolton get off the rail and declaro 1 himself.—l am, oto., „ ' WATCHER. Eastbourne, March 25.
