ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
»- THE OCCURRENCE AT THE GEAR WORKS. Both Mossrs. Towner and Cross, who were injured in the fall of the roof at the Gear Company's now manure works on Tuesday afternoon, were reported yesterday to bo improving. Towner has tlireo ribs fractured llio funoral of the late Mr. Wilson, wlio died in Wellington Hospital 011 Wednesday morning, will leavo his lato residence, Richmond Street, I'etonc, to-morrow afternoon Tho inquest concerning his death will bo r<y sumcd to-morrow.
Yesterday a married man named Arthur Tulloch, residing at GG Elizabeth Street was working with some other men on board the barquo Weathers/ield, which is at present be ing dismantled, and as lie was puttinc down the hutches one of tliem 011 which he was standing tilted, and ho was precipitated into the hold down a distance of 37 foot Ho was attended to by Dr. Voting, and convoyed in an ambulance van to the hospital where it was found that ho had sustained' simnle fractures to both arms. At a late hour list night tho hospital authorities reported that tho injured man .was doing as well as could bo expected.
