University Ball, - Definite arrangements for tho University Tournament Ball on Easter Tuesday liavo now been made, and in view of tho interest -which, has. been shown in the matter l>y tho goneral public, the committee regret that circumstances have rendered it impossible to make the ball the public function which they feel the occasion warrants. Mindful of the' honour done to their own representatives by the citizens of Christchurch, Auckland, and Dunedin, in the past three /year's, the committee had hoped that our own citizens would bo given an opportunity of meeting the 100 pr more student representatives who ivill bo visiting Wellington to attend tlie tournament 'during Easter. As far baok as Juno last tho committee applied for tho use of. the Town Hall, but found that, even at that time, it had been engaged far a season at Easter. Since then, despite, every effort, iio more suitable hall than tho Concert Chamber-has been foil ml to bo'available.: In view of this unfortunate development, those interested will appreciate the decision,. reluctantly-arrived at by the committee, to restrict invitations to the visiting and local'students. , "'■.' ■Ladies' Hookey Clubs.
