HOSPITAL TRUSTEES.
The fortnightly meeting of the Hospital Trustees v,-as held yesterday, there being present: Messrs. R. C. Kirk (in the chair), G. Lousjrm,G. Nash, J. Kod, J. Danks, and Agmen Smith. The amount received from out-patients for the past -fortnight was .£l6 175.; previous fortnight. .£lB 18s. j corresponding period o£ 1908, .£l4 155.; tb.e sum redeived from in-patients was ,£lO7 lSs. : 2d.; previous fortnight, ,£IOB IGs. 2d.: corresponding period of 1908, .£126 lis. Bd. •The statement of receipts and expenditure snowed the former to be ,£2238 Is. 10d., and l gave .£lOlB 2s. 7d. as the amount to be paid la accounts and wages. The number of patients in hospital was reported to be I<9, of which 102 were males and 77 females, as against 187 for the same period last year. Other returns were:—Victoria Hos-pital-20 males and 20 females; Seddon-Hospital —H males|and 5 females; grand total, 238, as against 256 for the corresponding period of 1908. Comment was made on the satisfactory reduction in the number of patients at the institu- ! ticn.
