Williams, chairman of tho Waipu County Council. Tho Governor, in reply, mentioned the Now Zealand Government s offej of a first-class , battleship to tho Imperial Government, and a second ono if necessary. Luncheon was partaken of and tho party drovo to tho residence of Mr. T. S. Williams, leaving there lor tho Waioniatatini Native reception, to take placo early on Wednesday morning. The Governor will rejoin tho Tutanekai at Port Awauui for To Knha and Opotiki. Clsborne, March 23. Tho pioturesquo township of Tuparoa. thirty miles south of East Cape, presented a festive seono this morning on the (Occasion of tho Governor's visit, Maori pakoha combining to display their patriotism. A'great cheer arose as the Tntanokai steamed into tho bay shortly aftor 9 o'clock.
