Baume, M.P., of Auckland, is at present in Wellington. He arrived by the through express train yesterday. Mr. W. Jennings, M.P., arrived in Wellington by tho Main Trunk express yesterday. Mr. G. B. Dall, Inspector of Post Offices, left for Christchurch, Dimedin, and Invercargill last night on Departmental business. He will bo absent about a week. Mr. J. S. M'Clune, of the Napier branch of tho Labour Department, has received notice of his transfer to Auckland. Mr. M'Cluno will bo uucecedod in Napier by Mr. G. Burnsido, of Masterton. In addition to an appointment mentioned in yosterday's issuo, two Wellington stenographers have been appointed official reporters to tho Timber Commission—Messrs. H. 31. Lo Grovo and J. D. Stevenson. Mr. J. Milesi, manager of the Wellington Fishermen's Association, leaves for Sydney on Saturday, to make a business arrangement there in connection with fish shipped from this port. ' A Press Association telegram from Wakapuaka states that Mr. Harloy Thomas, of tho Eastern Extension Cablo Company's staff, who has been transferred to Singapore, left for his new sphere of labour last night. TJw Town Hall organ was put together under his supervision, and was under his care until tho appointment of M. Wiegand as city organist.

Several chances have taken place in the stalf of the- Wellington Hospital. Miss Berry, who has received an appointment as matron of tlio Napier Hospital, sent in her resignation to the Wellington Hospital Trustees, and Sister E. l'eJigelly was appointed submatron of Uie Nurses' Home in nor place. It was -decided to forward a letter to Miss Berry expressing the trustees' appreciation of her services. Dr. Brown was appointed first senior assistant oh Ujc medical staff, vice Dr. Gilray resigned.
