Tho Sailors' Rest was crowded last oven-, ing, tho occasion being a concert to seamon given by tho Wellington Catholic Seamen's | Conforonco. A first-class prdgrammo was provided, all tho items being greatly appreciated. Tho following contributed: j\lr. V. Colo, piano solo; Miss Anderson, song; Master J. M'Carthy, recitation; Miss Frith, songj Miss E. Marshall and Miss E. Waller, Spanish tambourino dance; Miss Hamilton, song; Mr. M'Grath, recitation; Miss Strickland, song; Mr. V. Cole, violin solo; Miss Jamoson, song; Mr. M'Williams, recitation; Miss l'arrell, song; Mr. Harrop, song; Mr. Falvo.v, song. Tho accompaniments wero played by Mrs. Fnlvey, Mr. Cole, and Miss M'Carthy. Mr. Falvey also gave a highly interesting exposition of mental telepathy. Captain Hoimar returned thanks. Tho concert already given having proved so very successful, the conference lias decided to proride fortnightly entertainments to seamen during the winter months.
