Referring to the. important changcs regarding the High Commissioner's oftico announced by the Prime Minister, the Hon. T. Mackenzie, at Kahuika last night, said that the prices of our own meat in tho London market at present were approximately those ruling 12 years ago. From private .advice received ho had noticed that hydra-headed chicanery in connection with bogus claims was once more coming to tho front in tho Old Country. If a strong hand w,is required to kill it, Mr. Palliser was fitted to worthily fill tho responsible appointment.
