PUBLIC TRUST OFFICE SPORTS.

On-Wednesday the Public Trust Office staff and friends held- their first picnic "and' Sports at Mason's Gardens, Lower Hutt. The Public Trust Office championship was won by Guy Ronaldson, G. Elliffe, and J. Menzies securing second and third places respectively. The following is tho Tesult of the 'day's events:—looyds., half-milo walk, long jump, and sack race were won by G. Ronaldson; 220 yards, J. Menzies; naiMriying competition, Miss .Tack; one-mile handicap ana medley race, G. Elliffe. In the tug-of-war, North Island v. South Island, the team representing the north won. Mr. T, S. Ronaldson acted as starter; Messrs. Pnrdio, Smyth, and Finlay were the judges and handicappers.
